getestet mit Build 5600, GS 8.53, FreePDF XP 3.07
1. Datei msvbvm50.dll von Microsoft unter folgendem Link downloaden
http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb50pro/utility/1/win98/en-us/msvbvm50.exe
2. ghostscript installieren
3. FreePDF XP installieren (hier erhalten wir gegen Ende der Installation
eine Fehlermeldung über einen fehlenden Druckertreiber, welche wir aber
einfach bestätigen)
4. Systemsteuerung > Drucker > Neuen lokalen Drucker hinzufügen
5. Einen vorhanden Anschluss verwenden, "FreePDF XP1:(Redirect Monitor)"
auswählen.
6. Druckertreiber über die Option "Datenträger" im Verzeichnis
"C:\Programme\gs\gs8.53\lib\" die Datei "ghostpdf.inf" auswählen.
Fehlermeldung über nicht signierte Treiber ignorieren (Treiber trotzdem
installiern)
7. Windows erstelt nun den Drucker "Ghostscript PDF" welcher nun unser PDF
Drucker ist.
8. Fertig. alles wie von XP gewohnt.

Netzwerkprobleme: ifconfig -a findet die Netzwerkkarten / Adapter
Lösung1:
I got the exact same problem with Debian. Maybe somebody will find this helpful:
The problem started after I cloned a virtualbox os, and gave the box a new mac.
There is no /etc/iftab file anywhere, so I looked for all files in /etc containing the old mac with a "rgrep -i 08:00 *"
The only file that contained the mac was: /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent-net.rules
Problem resolved after deleting the file, and rebooting.
Lösung2:
I ran 'ifconfig -a' and it found an eth1 for some reason (though 'ifup
eth1' also had no effect) which had a MAC address in it. I hopped into
'/etc/iftab', changed the MAC address on eth0 to the MAC that was
attached to eth1 in ifconfig and rebooted. VOILA! Network up and
running!
